Margaret Robinson is an adjunct associate professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Queensland University of Technology. She also lectures within the School of Pharmacy at Queensland University. She has received an honours degree in Pharmacology and a post-graduate diploma in Computer Science. Her specialities include the cardiovascular and antidepressant drugs. She has been a regular contributor to the major pharmacy journals in Australia and has written several hundred articles for these journals since 1986. Her articles have been translated into three different languages for use by community pharmacists. She is currently the editor for the electronically delivered New Drug Brief and A Brief Drug Review for the Pharmacy Guild of Australia. She is also a first grade cricket umpire and goes to France every year to drink their champagne.

•A highly published author in the areas of new drugs, antihypertensive drugs, antidepressants, cough/cold, antipsychotics

•Appeared in court and written legal reports as an expert witness for effects of drugs on human behaviours and health

•Lecture to groups such as doctors, nurses, aged care facilities, pharmacists, pharmacy undergraduates, general public on drugs, their clinical impact and health care issues

•Lectures to pharmacy assistants on pharmacy only and pharmacist only drugs

•Report writing for drug manufacturing firms on special projects

•Consultant on work flow procedures within community pharmacies to try and expedite the availability of pharmacists for counselling in pharmacies with high volume prescriptions

•Aged care facilities - advisor to community pharmacists in obtaining contracts with aged care facilities, setting up of medication advisory committees within the aged care facility, aiding pharmacists to fulfil the contractual obligations in providing continuing education for staff and associated health professionals.
